About
Me

Growing up in the northern New Jersey woodlands I spent an inordinate amount of my childhood exploring the forest and streams. I have always been fascinated by the shapes and colors of the trees and rocks, twisting and turning with very smooth surfaces punctuated at times with varying colors and striations. These early experiences have guided my experimentation in form, morphing metals into similarly beautiful shapes and abstractions.

There is a certain type of magic that fabricating metal sculpture allows. With the heavy blows of the hammer, the unforgiving cuts of the plasma torch yield to the gentle strokes of the file and the long soft touch of the polishing wheel, the metal succumbs to my hands. My goal of transforming this very industrial, and almost vapid, soulless material into forms that evoke the same deep, peaceful emotions they provided me as a child, is complete.
